Yo-Gabba Gabba

Finally, another blog entry. I just read KP's Awaiting Further Instructions and realized its been a really long time since I've blogged as well. Blogging hasn't been on the top priority list lately. I've tried to get Leslie to start blogging, unsuccessfully as you can see. I just don't feel I'm that good at it so I guess she takes after me because she feels that same way. I read other blogs and it seems the words just seem to flow for them. Not so much for me so I think maybe I should just stick to pictures.

So far this winter we have just been hibernating and staying warm since it's been really cold lately. I've been enjoying cooking, baking and spending time with my family. We do attend Bradley's ballgames and I go watch Leslie cheer some. I'm thankful for my friend KP that drags me out of the house now and then, especially when its for Chinese!! Really soon Eddie and I are going to have a date night... Red Lobster and a movie. I can't wait.

Nick's in his second semester of college and having fun traveling to Snowshoe to snowboard. Jake is still working some doing artist work etc. for a local artist and also loves traveling to Snowshoe to snowboard. Leslie hangs out with my neice Jessie, lives on the computer on facebook and myspace, and cheers at basketball games. She will be starting to train for softball real soon. Bradley is playing basketball for the middle school, so that takes up most of his life right now with practice and games.

Maylea once again keeps up laughing and having fun. She's just a joy with her jabbering, imitating everyone and dancing. That girl is full of personality. Leslie constantly amazes me at being a little mother with her. She still loves to bathe, dress her and takes care of her any time I need her to, except when there is a poopy diaper involved. Nick and Jake just light up, crack up and love watching her and Bradley plays well with her "most" of the time but is a normal 13 year old that loves to be a pest.

I'll leave you with a few picture of what Yo Gabba Gabba is doing to Maylea. She loves to make funny faces like they do. Yo Gabba Gabba is a kids show on Nickelodeon for those of you that don't know. Leslie took these with my tele-photo lens and it's not too good for close ups so they are a little blurry... but still cute.

Leslie and BHS Cheerleaders

On November 8th, the Buffalo Cheerleaders competed in the WV Single A Regional Cheerleading Championships and took 1st Place!!!! There were 9 squads competing that day. This meant they would be going to STATES!!!! The WV State Cheerleading Competition was on December 13 where they were up against some really tough squads. There were 8 teams competing in the Single A this time. They came in 4th overall, but we felt like they should have came in 3rd. Wheeling Central took 1st, Clay-Batelle took 2nd, and Clarksburg Notre Dame took 3rd. We are so proud of them because they did their very best and worked really hard to get here. I hope they learned that hard work pays off!!!!

Prayers

Prayers

I am so sad to say that on November 7th, my sister's husband Jim unexpectedly passed away. This has been a shock and I would like for your to pray for Diana and her children and grandchildren. Losing Mom and then just a little over two months later losing Jim just seems more than one can bare, but we have hope in the Lord and know that we will see them both again.

Maylea's Gotcha Day Party

Maylea's Gotcha Day Party

On October 29th, it had been one year since we got Maylea. We had a small party for her. We wanted to keep it small and simple, so we just invited the people that were at the airport when we got home from China last year. We had ice cream and cake, and Maylea got some presents. This day was very special for all of us. Maylea had a blast playing with her cousins at the house, and she enjoyed all of her presents.

Grace Community Chapel's Fall Harvest Party

On Sunday, October 24th, we had a fall harvest party for our church at our house. We played games, roasted weenies, and had a hay ride. Everyone had a blast, and all the kids dressed up in costumes. We hope this will be an annual thing.
