Life

Life is kindof hard right now. Things at home are good, but with Mom they are not. She is sleeping a lot more and has become incontinent the majority of the time. The aid pointed out today that there is a skin lesion starting above her tailbone, and that her hand that is contracted is raw and may be in real danger of infection. She just cries so hard when you try to clean it and put medication on. You have to pry her fingers open and I know it hurts her. It is so hard to watch her lie there and suffer. I know that there are so many people that are going through this same thing and have gone through this. When it comes home and is happening to you, it certaining makes you more compassionate. I guess its just like anything else in life in that you don't know until you've walked in the shoes. I know it will be so hard when she passes, but we pray the Lord takes her home to be with him before things get worse for her.

Its Rare

Yes, it's rare to get Jake in a picture. He usually turns his head, ducks and runs, or covers his face. I'm not sure why because he's very photogenic.

Miss Priss

Our little sunshine..... She is just full of pesonality. This night I was taking pictures of her and the showing them to her on the camera. She was amazed and kept running back to her rocking horse and saying "Cheese".

Whew, Its Been Crazy!

Busy..... That's what I've been lately. Our baseball team played in the WV State Baseball Tournament on May 31st. We didn't win, but being in 2nd place is still a good place to be. A lot of people would love to be there. Considering we only had 14 players on our roster and we played Wheeling Central who has 33 players on theirs, and they're a private school.

Then on Sunday, Nick graduated from high school. It was a bittersweet weekend. After graduation, we had a reception at the First Baptist Church for family and friends to attend.

This picture is of Nick putting a pink rose in a vase in honor of Samantha. They had a slide show dedicated to her, and then each graduate carried a rose in her honor. They also presented Samantha's brother Joey with her diploma.

This a Joey being presented with Samantha's diploma.
