Leslie and BHS Cheerleaders

On November 8th, the Buffalo Cheerleaders competed in the WV Single A Regional Cheerleading Championships and took 1st Place!!!! There were 9 squads competing that day. This meant they would be going to STATES!!!! The WV State Cheerleading Competition was on December 13 where they were up against some really tough squads. There were 8 teams competing in the Single A this time. They came in 4th overall, but we felt like they should have came in 3rd. Wheeling Central took 1st, Clay-Batelle took 2nd, and Clarksburg Notre Dame took 3rd. We are so proud of them because they did their very best and worked really hard to get here. I hope they learned that hard work pays off!!!!

Prayers

Prayers

I am so sad to say that on November 7th, my sister's husband Jim unexpectedly passed away. This has been a shock and I would like for your to pray for Diana and her children and grandchildren. Losing Mom and then just a little over two months later losing Jim just seems more than one can bare, but we have hope in the Lord and know that we will see them both again.

Maylea's Gotcha Day Party

Maylea's Gotcha Day Party

On October 29th, it had been one year since we got Maylea. We had a small party for her. We wanted to keep it small and simple, so we just invited the people that were at the airport when we got home from China last year. We had ice cream and cake, and Maylea got some presents. This day was very special for all of us. Maylea had a blast playing with her cousins at the house, and she enjoyed all of her presents.

Grace Community Chapel's Fall Harvest Party

On Sunday, October 24th, we had a fall harvest party for our church at our house. We played games, roasted weenies, and had a hay ride. Everyone had a blast, and all the kids dressed up in costumes. We hope this will be an annual thing.

October Evenings.

October Evenings.

Some pictures of Maylea.

The Columbus Zoo

On Saturday, September 20, we went to the Columbus Zoo with Kathleen, Chris, Deacon, and Levi Moles. Of course Nick and Jake wouldn't tag along with us; I guess they're just too old for the zoo. The weather was beautiful, maybe a little too warm because all of the animals were sleeping. Well, most of them anyway. Maylea's favorites were the elephants and gorillas, especially the gorillas because Eddie was holding her and when he would walk away, she would start crying. I only have one regret, and that is I didn't get any pictures of Levi. I may just steal some from Kathleen.

2008 China Reunion

Our Travel Group Reunion

On Saturday, August 2nd, five families joined us for a reunion at our house. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. It was so good to spend time with everyone and get to see all the little ones. Leslie said it was the highlight of her summer, and thats something coming from a 15 year old. She absolutely loves everyone. They are just like family to us and I hope it will always be that way. Some couldn't attend this year, but we hope too see them next year. We haven't really decided where we will go next year. The families that attended came from NY, two from GA, KS and MD. I've been trying to post a slideshow of all the pictures, but I'm not having much luck. It will post but it's too large and cuts off some of the picture. I'll see if KP can help me through when she gets home from Africa.

Speaking of KP, Pray for Chris and Kathleen. They arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Sunday safe and sound. They went to the Transition Home yesterday to meet Levi for the first time, and they go back today and will be able to take him with them this time. He is so adorable! I can't wait until they come home. You can keep up with their trip by visiting their blog http://www.molesfamilywv.blogspot.com/ . Please keep them in your prayers. Their trip home will be a little tricky since they have to fly through Rome and then come back to the US through NY and then on to Columbus.

OH, and I wanted to say.... Don't be bashful. I love comments and would love to hear from those that read!!!.... or not.

Please keep praying for Dad as he takes care of Mom and for our family. The past few days she hasn't been eating well and she gets choked really easy with liquid and even food. I think Dad is relieved Hospice is coming in. They have been very helpful.

God Bless!!
